When will ACS Central Science begin accepting manuscripts and when will the journal begin publishing articles?
The journal is now accepting manuscripts. Submissions are made online through the ACS Paragon Plus environment here https://acs.manuscriptcentral.com/acs and instructions for authors are available at te following URL: http://pubs.acs.org/page/acscii/submission/index.html.
No. There are no author charges for publishing open access in this journal. Authors who wish (or are required by their funding agency) to publish under the terms of a Creative Commons license may elect to do so as an additional fee-based option ($1000 for non-members; $500 for ACS Members).
No. All articles will be freely available immediately upon publication. The journal can be found on the ACS Publications web site, http://www.pubs.acs.org/centralscience.
The journal will employ high standards of peer review, rapid times to decision and publication, and rigorous editorial processes as exemplified by the Society’s publishing program.
