On Saturday, July 10, ACS staff from WASH IT and Publications units will be deploying a substantial new release to the ACS Web Editions Platform. During this weekend’s transition the ACS Journals website will be placed in Read Only mode. Subscriber access to ACS Journals, ACS Books, C&EN Online, and the ACS Paragon Plus Environment will not be affected during this maintenance period, but some services such as galley proofing and single article/chapter purchase will not be available on Saturday, July 10 and possibly Sunday, July 11. The deployment of the new release, also an adoption of Atypon’s latest 10.1 software release, introduces a number of important enhancements that will benefit all stakeholders — ACS member subscribers, institutional customers, authors, end-users, and ACS staff in Washington and Columbus offices that use and support the ACS Web Editions Platform day in and day out. Site-wide maintenance notices have also been posted to all templates across the ACS Web Editions Platform. That notice will be updated with new information as needed throughout the weekend.
